Although LinkedIn had grown to 400 Million members, for many it was simply a place to update their profile when looking for a job. Inspired by an actual NASA job posting on LinkedIn, members were encouraged to dream big and go after their dream job, even that of an astronaut.
The result was a fully integrated campaign and cross-collaboration between marketing, product marketing, internal communications and agency support for the company's first-ever above the line tv spot aired at the Oscars and aimed to show people that their dream job, even that of an astronaut, was "closer than you think”.
Leading the product marketing team, a data heavy online experience included interactive landing pages, email campaigns, digital advertising and more with a goal of driving individuals to find how they may be connected to amazing job opportunities (much to their delight).
Crafted by our editorial team, an impactful manifesto led the way...
WE MAY NOT ALL BE ASTRONAUTS
But inside all of us is a moonshot, an ambitious undertaking that stirs the soul.
One we embark on if only we had more time, fewer distractions, more confidence, less fear.
But that moonshot is your purpose and purpose is a powerful thing.
People with purpose get out of bed more inspired and return more fulfilled.
Their careers are more rewarding, their businesses more impactful.
Not everyone will make it to the moon, but everyone can start their journey.
